Today is the official world-wide IPv6 Launch Day (see: http://www.h-online.com/open/news/item/Tomorrow-is-World-IPv6-Launch-Day...).
So it is time to update root1.de server to support IPv6 too.
In the last 2hrs the system has been updated to also suppport IPv6. All mayor services like incoming and outgoing email, webserver, build server, maven repo server are now reachable via IPv6.
... That what this page now is. That's why I don't wanna say again "sorry" for not upating this page in the last 2yrs. There isn't much to say on this site. It's now really more or less "static content".
In the last two years I was working hard on different projects. All changes and updates are visible on the project site http://dev.root1.de
The number of projects has grown from "just 2" to now 7 major projects with 5 subprojects. That's now in total 12 projects. Some are still "under construction" and are therefore not visible to the public. But in near future they will.
... for no news the last weeks. I was very busy. The announced movement is already finished. All relevant projects are now hosted on http://dev.root1.de
SIMON development continues. Version 1.1.0 is in progress. First results of new Annotation interface and new lookup mechanism look quite good.
A new hidden project is also on the way. I don't want to reveal anything rigth now. Just wait and see :-)
as you might have noticed: the project website is still on move. Sorry for that ...
First I thought it would be the best to use the Drupal CMS (the page you're looking at right now) as the base platform to inform about projects and host the related documentation etc. But as the project has grown - and more projects are about to be launched - the current system and structure isn't sufficient any more: "Some information is placed here, some other there, bugtracker is over there and forum is just on the other side."
I recently setup a wiki that collects all SIMON related information. The past showed, that the current website does not provide all information in an collaborative way. So I decided to setup a wiki.
It's not yet fully filled, but most of the informations are already in. Please have a look at http://simon.root1.de/wiki/ and leave me a message on the discussion forum.
